This window Guilford Cupola features a pagoda style copper roof and shiplap base. It is made of hand-selected Cypress wood and roof is topped with 16-ounce 24-gauge copper. Cypress wood is very durable and naturally resistant to harsh inland and coastal weather conditions, insects and decay from mold, moisture and fungus. In selecting the right size cupola for your home, barn or building, a good rule of thumb is 1.25" of cupola rooftop for every foot of 'unbroken' roof line. For example: if a roof section measures 20' the minumum cupola rooftop size should be 25". However, we usually suggest the next size larger. Our experience tells us it provides for a more pleasing appearance. If the cupola is too small, it will look like a bird house on your home, barn or building. Cupolas are 'weathervane ready' so they do not require a roof mount or any additional hardware. They come in three sections (Roof, Middle, Base) for easy installation. You will only need a hand saw and a screwdriver! Complete, easy step-by-step instructions are included. Windowed cupolas measuring 36" and 42" are designed with a 3 over 3 window pane configuration while 48" and larger have a 4 over 4 configuration. All cupolas 36" and larger must ship via motor freight.
